And ACORN alumni are in the mix. How can it be that Americans have allowed the Obama administration to get away with this travesty of justice? Today, Americans face the shocking spectrum of 45,000 Obama arm twisters muscling citizens into the Obamacare dark hole. It lends terrifying meaning to “we’re from the government and we’re here to help.” And this seamy horde has not been given criminal background checks. Why would any American wish to cough up social security and other sensitive personal information to such people? It all has a ring from Clowns From Outer Space. The only sensible strategy for Americans is to hang up the phone on these people—fast. Here John Fund writing at National Review has the up-to-date take on the Obama’s unchecked navigators.
The Obama administration has a schizophrenic attitude toward requiring people to go through criminal-background checks. Last week, Senator John Cornyn (R., Texas) grilled Kathleen Sebelius, the Health and Human Services secretary, about why the 45,000 “navigators” who assist people in signing up for Obamacare aren’t required to undergo a criminal-background check, even though they handle sensitive personal information.
“So a convicted felon could be a navigator and could acquire sensitive personal information from an individual unbeknownst to them?” Cornyn asked her. “That is possible,” said Sebelius, noting that states could always impose their own requirements — as some have done.
