The Biden Candidacy: Part I, Is Joe Biden Really a ‘Moderate’ Democrat?

March 10, 2020 By David Franke

And then there were two. It was an amazing week in the Democratic race for the party’s presidential nomination.  After Joe Biden’s victory in South Carolina, Pete Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar, Mike Bloomberg, and Elizabeth Warren jumped ship in quick succession.  The first three endorsed Biden, and Warren isn’t saying what she will do.  That leaves […]

February 18, 2020 By David Franke

Yes, politics is mean and nasty today.  But arguably it’s been worse—there haven’t been any canings on the floor of the Senate recently (though I might entertain the argument that there should have been). […]

GOP Results in the 2019 Elections may not Be as Poor as the Media Want You to Believe

November 7, 2019 By David Franke

The “mainstream” media would have you believe that the 2019 elections were a disaster for the Republican Party and presage a Democratic victory in 2020.  This interpretation may be an attempt at wish-fulfillment on their part. Kentucky: Yes, the Democratic candidate has a very slim lead in the gubernatorial race, but the Republican incumbent governor […]
