Northrop Grumman will produce the PGK E5, a next-generation precision guidance kit for 155 mm artillery designed to maintain accuracy in GPS-degraded and jammed environments. The system adds advanced anti-jamming technology while remaining compatible with existing artillery shells and howitzers, requiring minimal retraining or system changes.

The PGK converts conventional 155 mm rounds into precision-guided weapons and is designed to achieve less than 30 meters circular error probable (CEP). Recent testing showed the PGK E5 exceeding Army accuracy requirements, potentially reduciPGKng the number of rounds needed and limiting collateral damage.

The PGK family has delivered nearly 145,000 kits and demonstrated a 98% point reliability rate since 2013. Production of the PGK E5 is underway at Northrop Grumman’s Minnesota facility, with first deliveries expected in early 2028.
