The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and Ursa Major conducted a follow-on flight test of the Affordable Rapid Missile Demonstrator (ARMD) just 45 days after the previous flight, demonstrating rapid testing and development of liquid rocket propulsion systems powered by the Draper engine.
The ARMD program continues to show an accelerated development timeline, moving from design to flight in just eight months. The latest test expanded the mission profile and further validated the performance, control, and adaptability of the Draper engine during flight.
The effort highlights a public-private partnership aimed at rapidly developing affordable, mass-producible propulsion systems for high-speed defense applications, strengthening future missile and hypersonic capabilities.
