The jobs market is smoking hot. The NFIB survey of small business shows that there are a record number of businesses unable to fill positions. In the last forty years, there hasn’t been a better time than today to start searching for a job. And after years of muddling along, wage growth has finally started to pick up. The gains are broad based. Black unemployment hit a record low in May. Latino unemployment is at a record low. The unemployment rate for those who didn’t finish high-school is at a record low as is unemployment for those who graduated high-school, but didn’t attend college.
