Mark Swanson of Newsmax reports that Elon Musk expressed his “full support” for House Speaker Mike Johnson following President-elect Donald Trump’s endorsement. Musk’s post on social media came after Trump praised Johnson despite criticism over his handling of a stopgap funding bill. Johnson’s leadership has faced backlash from conservatives, but Trump and Musk’s endorsements aim to rally support as the House votes on his reelection. Swanson writes:
Billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk piggybacked on President-elect Donald Trump’s full-throated endorsement of House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., on Monday, taking to his social media platform hours later to add his “full support.”
Musk’s post, coming hours after Trump gave the embattled Johnson his “complete and total endorsement,” comes days ahead of the House election for speaker. The endorsements could help to shore up support of some House Republicans who have been noncommittal about reelecting Johnson as speaker.

But Trump clearly put all that aside with his post to Truth Social on Monday morning.
“Speaker Mike Johnson is a good, hard working, religious man. He will do the right thing, and we will continue to WIN. Mike has my Complete & Total Endorsement. MAGA!!!” Trump posted.
