The Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, has announced her resignation from her post as her husband has been diagnosed with bone cancer. Gabbard’s exit from the Trump administration has been rumored as imminent many times, but was never realized until now.

Gabbard is one of the Trump administration’s staunchest opponents of aggressive foreign policy, and her deputy, Joe Kent, resigned earlier this year in protest of the war on Iran. Yesterday it was announced that another high-level Gabbard deputy, Amaryllis Fox Kennedy, had resigned from two of her three posts in the administration in protest of the war as well.

Gabbard posted here resignation to X.com:

The only remaining major skeptic of foreign wars and interventions in the Trump administration is Vice President JD Vance, who has avoided much discussion of his views on Iran, though when asked has maintained his support for President Trump.
