El Paso, TX (June 25, 2021) Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and Vice President Kamala Harris arrive to El Paso International Airport on Air Force Two. They spoke to the press briefly before departing the airport.
Kamala Harris, Joe Biden’s VP, is not widely recognized for her artful linguistics.
Recently the VP made some disturbing remarks about how relief to victims of Hurricane Ian would be handled.
From Kamala Harris:
“It is our lowest income communities and our communities of color that are most impacted by these extreme conditions and impacted by issues that are not of their own making. And so we have to address this in a way that is about giving resources based on equity, understanding that we fight for equality, but we also need to fight for equity, understanding not everyone starts out at the same place.”
Elon Musk’s company has been serving the communities hit in Florida, reports the AP:
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said Saturday that multibillionaire businessman Elon Musk was providing some 120 Starlink satellites to “help bridge some of the communication issues.” Starlink, a satellite-based internet system created by Musk’s SpaceX, will provide high-speed connectivity.
How did Elon Musk respond to a clip of Harris’s speech?
“Should be according to greatest need, not race or anything else.”
