Chaos and Carnage as Russian Drone Hits Ukrainian Civilian Train

At least five people were killed when a Russian drone struck a civilian train in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region, an attack President Zelensky described as an “act of terrorism,” CNN reported. The train, carrying nearly 300 passengers near the front lines, was hit, leaving widespread destruction and victims’ remains amid the wreckage. Two others were injured, and one person remains missing. Videos showed passengers, including children, escaping into snow-covered woods, while a young mother was rescued with her baby. The strike adds to a series of Russian attacks on Ukraine’s railway infrastructure and comes amid continued missile assaults across the country. They write:

“In any country, a drone strike on a civilian train would be regarded in the same way – purely as an act of terrorism,” Zelensky said in a statement on Telegram, adding that “18 people were in the carriage hit by one of the Russian drones.” […]
