Are Gay Relationships Immoral?

February 7, 2019 By Debbie Young

Neomi Rao has been nominated to replace Justice Brett Kavanaugh on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit. The Left is attacking the 45-year-old Ms. Rao for reasonably mainstream thoughts Ms. Rao had in her early 20s. As The Federalist reminds readers, Mr. Rao has spent two decades building a respectable career – one that earned her a “well qualified” rating from the American Bar Association.

During the recent confirmation hearing. Senator Cory Booker pressed Ms. Rao over her position on LGBT issues, “specifically on whether she has ever hired any LGBT law clerks.”

Sen. Cory Booker: Are gay relationships, in your opinion, immoral?

Rao: Um, Senator, I’m not sure the relevance of that. . . . My personal views on any of these subjects are things I would put to one side. . . .

Booker: Have you ever had an LGBTQ law clerk?

Rao: I have not been a judge, so I don’t have any law clerks.

Booker: I’m sorry, someone working for you?

Rao: Um, to be honest, I don’t know the sexual orientation of my staff. I take people as they come, irrespective of their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation.
