So, you thought it couldn’t get any worse in California? Think again, buddy. Guess who is running for the Senate? As much as it pains Cockburn to do so, he’s the one breaking the loathsome news in Spectator: Representative Adam Schiff is launching a campaign, running to replace Dianne Feinstein’s seat in the US Senate in 2024.
Schiff’s opening lines of his video announcement: (I) “always believed that what’s right matters, that the truth matters — and that decency matters.”
When Does Truth Matter
Schiff may have always believed that the truth mattered, but he certainly did not act like it, derides Cockburn.
This is the same Adam Schiff who for years promised he had the goods on Trump’s Russia collusion, that some new conclusive evidence had been found that Trump was a Russian catspaw. Of course, nothing ever came of the collusion trope, with the matter largely put to bed in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report.
Gutting the Middle Class
Schiff also includes a classic partisan line that every politician blames the other party of: “gutting the middle class.” That argument may find purchase in deep blue California, but the reality is very different. Inflation has harmed the middle class more than anything else in the past decade — and that’s been exacerbated by the profligate spending called for by the progressive left quarters of the Biden administration, for which Schiff voted.
Adam Schiff vs. “Boss of the Year”
The poor people of California have just gone through a grisly weather situation. Now they are facing 18 months of hearing irrational inventions from Adam Schiff as he faces the toxic Katie Porter.
