Democrat-Turned-Republican Turned Out of Office – John Gizzi, Human Events
It would seem to be a bad year for party switchers. First Arlen Specter was ejected from the senate race in Pennsylvania, and now Parker Griffith has been beaten in the 5th District of Alabama GOP congressional primary after he came to the party from the Democratic Party seven months ago. The biggest message was sent to the GOP establishment that backed Griffith. They should be backing true conservatives, not Johnny-come-lately types like Griffith. – Dick Young
