Senator Bob Bennet’s defeat in the Utah GOP convention caucus this weekend shows that GOPers and conservative in general are very upset about the road the party has taken. Corporate bailouts like TARP do not jive with the sentiment of small government conservatives focused on liberty. Bennet’s vote for TARP was his undoing and now he will be replaced with a more conservative senator. – Timothy Jones
