Donald Trump: Plant a Tree

An American Whirlwind

Today marks the 100th day of Trump’s 2nd term in the White House. The media is at it again, posting negative pronouncements on the President’s achievements. “Historically Unpopular,” announces the Drudge Report, “Lowest 100 Day Score in 80 Years,” chortles another source. That’s on top of a reported 39% approval rating for Donald Trump.

Using American Resources on Arbor Day

In a statement released for Arbor Day, President Trump reminds Americans that his administration is cutting red tape to elevate forestry projects with the goal of “using America’s abundant timber resources instead of relying on costly imports.”

President Trump writes that there are about 750,000 jobs in the timber industry, which also supplies essential materials for construction, energy, and manufacturing.

From towering redwoods and awe-inspiring sequoias to ornamental dogwoods, stately oaks, cedars, and pines, America’s trees enhance every community, improving air quality, offering recreational spaces, and supporting industries vital to our economy.

True stewardship of our natural resources requires responsible forest management in our natural resources. In recent years, irresponsible policies have left our forests overgrown and vulnerable to devastating wildfires—like those seen in California—that have destroyed millions of acres, displaced families, and taken countless lives. That is why I took action to promote active forest management, clearing hazardous fuels, thinning dense forests, and ensuring well-maintained landscapes.
