7 October 2023: Underestimating the Enemy

Democrats and the Iranian Axis of Resistance

One year and one day ago: reading about 7 October 2023 events are as horrifying today as they were a year ago. There are lessons the West will long remember: deterrence, political will, and the illusions of a liberal, peaceful world.

Also not easy to forget are the live-stream videos taken by the terrorists as they slaughtered the defenseless. Terrorists, reminds the WSJ, killed some 1,200 people and took 251 hostages, 101 of whom remain in captivity, assuming they are still alive.

Hamas is proud of its handiwork. Ghazi Hamad, the “voice of Hamas,” bragged on Lebanese TV: the terrorist group would like to repeat 7 October “again and again.”

Who’s to Blame

Palestinians are victims of Israel, continued Hamad,

Nobody should blame us for the things we do. On Oct. 7, on Oct. 10, on Oct. one-millionth, everything we do is justified.

Progressive Betrayal

Shocking is how the Democratic Party has embraced the Iranian Axis of Resistance.
