Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy has purchased an estate on Lower Matecumbe Key for $27.75 million. The Keys News reports:
The purchase price was the highest for an Islamorada residence, eclipsing the previous record of almost $23 million set in 2023 with the sale of the Palm Harbor estate on Upper Matecumbe Key.
Portnoy’s new property, at 76180 Overseas Highway, was originally listed for $31.2 million by Ocean Sothbey’s International Realty agent Leslie Leopold.
According to the listing information, the 1.65-acre gated bayfront compound features 150 feet of private waterfront, dockage, a boat ramp, private beach, two pools and tropical landscaping.
