Ukrainian military was able to locate and level the Wagner Group’s base in Popasna with U.S. provided HIMARS. The New Voice of Ukraine writes (abridged):
Ukraine’s military has wiped out a military base belonging to Russian mercenary company Wagner Group in the occupied town of Popasna, Luhansk Regional Governor Serhiy Hayday said in a Telegram messenger post on Aug. 15.
Journalist Denis Kazansky said on Aug. 14 the Ukrainian military had used HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems to hit the Wagner Group headquarters in occupied Popasna.
After the attack by the Ukrainian military, the mercenaries took out the dead and wounded from under the rubble of the base.
