As you awaken today it is 130 degrees in Afghanistan and even 115 degrees in an air-conditioned hospital. And the seemingly never-ending sand storm season is in full force. Can you explain to me why your sons and grand sons are in this ancient chaotic land? The Afghan government and police force are rotten to the core. I see little progress on either front. Have you heard so much as a single cogent sentence from this debacle of an administration as to why American lives are being lost in this forsaken hellhole? Has an end game you can make any sense out of been presented to you? The answer, of course, is no. Maybe your senator or congressman can respond to your e-mail with a sensible answer. If not, each needs to be replaced. It is way past the time of departure in Afghanistan. And don’t buy into the let’s win the war charade. What is there to win? Putting American ground troops on foreign soil is a non-starter and I mean Korea, Vietnam, Iraq as well as Afghanistan.
Crist Majordomo Charged – Larry Thornberry, The American Spectator
Charlie Crist put the fox in the hen house in Florida’s GOP, and now his former right hand man is possibly going to jail for defrauding the Republican Party of Florida. Crist established Jim Greer as chairman of the Republican Party of Florida and now Greer is up on charges for siphoning off money from the party into his own accounts and using that money to support a lavish lifestyle. This is just one more damning piece of new for Crist, who should do the right thing by the people of Florida and drop out of the race for senate. New blood is needed in the state’s politics, that’s why I support Marco Rubio. – Dick Young

Sestak to Kane: ‘Many People’ Called – Robert Costa, National Review
It turns out Bill Clinton wasn’t the only Democratic Party big-wig to call Joe Sestak to ask him to drop out of the race, though he may have been the only one to offer Sestak a job to do so. New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (whose leaders are Menendez and Harry Reid) also contacted Sestak in an effort to get him to drop his challenge to Arlen Specter, the administration’s hand-picked favorite in the race. If this is politics as usual like the Obama administration claims, politics is worse than I thought. – Timothy Jones
