My inference reading brings to surface the prospect of a war breaking out over water! Sure, the earth has a lot of water, but most of it is oceanic salt water. Perhaps as little as 1% of the earth’s water is suitable for human consumption, and the more I read, the more I learn about areas of the world that are in-or near-a water crisis. Many of the trouble spots I’ve unearthed are right here at home. Las Vegas comes to mind as an unfolding crisis. And on the international front, one of the many crisis zones is China, with 20 to 25% of the world’s population and perhaps only 5 to 10% of the world’s potable water. As a result of my reading on this topic, I have put in a well, have turned a swimming pool into an effective solar-powered cistern, and am hunting up water stocks.
