What War with Iran Means – Patrick J. Buchanan, Human Events
Read Pat’s in-depth analysis with care. I agree with Pat’s conclusion that “Before the War Party stampedes us into yet another war, the Senate should find out if Teheran is really on the ‘verge’ of getting a bomb, and why deterrence, which never failed us, cannot succeed with Iran.” – Dick Young
Tea Parties Old and New – Fred Schwarz, National Review
“Remember December 1773” will be the call of the new sons of liberty. And the bright yellow “don’t tread on me” flags will be flying by the millions. The Obama administration is soon going to feel like the East India Company. Conservative Americans led by today’s reincarnation of the tea party of yore are angry as hell and fed up to the gizzard with Chicago-style orchestrated Marxist socialism. Mr. Schwarz concludes, “we can hope that today’s Americans will be just as vigilant in defense of their freedom as the original tea partiers were.” – Dick Young
Bluegrass Bummer – Stephen Spruiell, National Review
Kentucky tried forcing insurance companies to take on patients whenever they became sick. The problem is, that isn’t insurance. The definition of insurance is that you buy it, whether you need it or not, to hedge against future risk. The progressives’ idea of insurance is similar to a minimal down payment loan with no requirement to repay. – Dick Young
