…according to Bill Clinton, referring to his wife two days after she collapsed. In an interview with Charlie Rose, former president Bill Clinton also acknowledged that Hillary collapsed at the 9/11 memorial ceremony when she became “severely dehydrated.” As Bill told a dubious Rose, “Rarely, on more than one occasion over the last many, many years, the same sort of thing’s happened to her when she got severely dehydrated.”
When Rose questioned the obvious—that the video appeared to show Hillary collapsing and it might be “more serious than dehydration”—Bill shot back, “Well, if it is then it’s a mystery to me and all of her doctors.”
As Jim Geraghty of NRO points out:
Look, either her health is pretty good and she’s simply beset by the normal germs and exhaustion of a busy campaign schedule, or her health isn’t. She certainly seemed fine when she emerged from Chelsea’s apartment building a few hours later. In fact, the seemingly cheery demeanor doesn’t quite fit with what would we would expect if she had just had pneumonia so bad that she fainted. Wouldn’t you want her on bed rest? Perhaps even a hospital visit, run some tests as a precaution?
In 1996, after he released 11 pages of his medical health records, Bill Clinton sat down with Lawrence Altman (also a physician) of the NYT, “The public has a right to know the condition of the president’s health.”
If Mrs. Clinton does not release her medical records, writes Paul Gigot in the WSJ, then she deserves the public perception that “she can’t be trusted.”
