On the same day the video of Donald Trump came out, Hillary Clinton’s leaked emails also were revealed. In a paid speech Mrs. Clinton gave to Brazilian Banco Itau in 2013, she reportedly told a Brazilian bank that she is for “open borders.”
My (Mrs. Clinton’s) dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders, sometime in the future with energy that’s as green and sustainable as we can get it, powering growth and opportunity for every person in the hemisphere.
Dennis Prager writes in RealClearPoliitcs:
If Hillary Clinton wins, will Republicans and conservatives who gave up on Trump because of this recording really think that it was worth: having a left-wing Supreme Court for the next 30 years; having left-wing judges completely dominate lower federal courts; radically curtailing religious liberty in America; having speech codes go from colleges to the society as a whole; massively increasing the size of the government and of the debt; bringing in tens of thousands of refugees from the Arab Middle East; and having open borders?
Open borders mean the end of the United States as we know it.
That, my fellow Americans, is worth getting hysterical about.
… Republicans, conservatives and independents need to ask themselves if what Trump said — not did, but said — in a private conversation is any way comparable to the truly awful things Hillary Clinton and her husband have done both to women and to the country.
Although the WikiLeaks information was available before the last Clinton-Trump debate, the moderators chose not to ask questions about it, notes John Kass of the Chicago Tribune. Nor did the moderators ask about Clinton having one public position on policy and another position for private consideration by insiders.
Kind of like when she was secretary of state and telling America that the four dead Americans in Benghazi were killed by protesters angry about some video. And then telling her daughter and others, in private emails, that the four were killed in a terrorist attack.
And now, rather than worry about divisive issues such as borders, we’re consumed by that vulgar Trump video.
Mr. Kass reminds readers of the sorted tale of Bill Clinton, a cigar, and an intern–stuff most Americans want to forget–while Bill was in the Oval Office. “The political left protected him. And they defended Hillary for defending Bill, who had a habit of putting his hands on women when he held office.”
What’s laughable about all this is the Clintonista argument that to cleanse America of the stain of Trump, we must re-install Hillary and Bill back into the same White House that they soiled years ago.
