Here Le Pen strikes out hard against ISIS.

Controversial French far-right leader Marine Le Pen on Thursday called her country to step up the efforts against the “offensive” of the “international Islamism” in Iraq and Lebanon, where the Islamic State jihadists continued their formidable streak of military victories.
“While the political and media attention is fixed on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, tens of thousands of Iraqis, including a large Christian community, are fleeing from their homes in northern Iraq for fear of the jihadists’ advance,” the Front National leader wrote in a statement.
“At the same time, the northern and eastern Lebanon are aggressed by Salafist militants.”
France insisted on Tuesday that it stood behind the Lebanese army.
“France is fully committed to supporting the Lebanese army, a pillar of stability and unity in Lebanon,” said Vincent Floreani, a foreign ministry spokesman.
“We are in close contact with our partners to quickly meet Lebanon’s needs.”
Le Pen’s Front National, rebranded as more than just an anti-immigrant party, made impressive headway in the French local elections earlier in 2014.
A poll held Sunday indicated that had the French presidential election been held now, Le Pen would be the firm favorite.
